hi, im new on here, and im looking to start importing cars, specifically stalets and glanza, the reason i want them is coz i own a 350bhp one and know everything about them and have access to a market for them, the thing i need to know is mainly to do with customs charges, inport tax. when buying from auction, either overseas or a at a port in the uk what is the deal with tax and stuff. any replys would be much apprechiated, thanks, dale.

Hi Mate,

If importing from oversea's like Japan into the UK, you have to pay 10% Duty & 17.5% VAT. Then you have SVA test, MOT, Plate registering with the DVLA.

I think thats about it, if anybody else has anything to add feel free to add because I think I might be missing something else.
