Can i assume the approx cost of importing a car (cost at auction ?9000)
including everything - shipping , duty, sva, model report , mot , the full shibang! should be around ?3000 ?

HI paul

Sorry, just spotted your post - a bit late I know!
I've just imported a 2002 Estima, the price from Japan was approx ?9200 on the boat. The duty, VAT, shipping etc. worked out at about ?3300 so yes, you're not far wrong, but it depends on how much work needs doing for the ESVA or SVA test as to how much extra you add to this.
