| Once the vehicle arrives at the docks, I assume that it cannot be used on UK roads. Do I therefore have to pay to have it transported to an MOT testing staion? What about insurance and road tax - these can't be arranged until reg & MOT... what happens to the vehicle in the meantime (I live a long way from a port!) |

There are several ways to do this.
The most common method is to get an insirance cover note and you will be able to drive the vehicle.
There is also law allowing you to drive the vehicle to the MOT station if you have an appointment booked on that day. The shipping agent will be able to clarify this for you.
You may have trade plates, if so you may use these.
Another method is to have the vehicle transported to the MOT station.
We offer very good rates for this through our contacts in the industry. A trade price will be offered. |
