Hi. I've just bought an unregistered '95 Toyota Surf . I have everything the DVLA need except proof of import duty (was brought in about 3 years ago). I'm prepared to pay the duty to keep the car. Any advice/suggestions? I'm determined to get this car registered. Thanks for any help Vinnie |

| You need to contact customs and they will be able to give you another receipt. |

Thanks but I can't get a receipt because I don't know when it was imported, who by, and even if duty WAS ever paid. I wish I could 'just get a receipt'. I have sent pics, VIN etc to customs in Dover and there's a chance they can value the car and if I pay 27.5% of the value i'll get it cleared. We'll see...
