Japanese car imports

Hi all, I am new to this an I am looking to purchase a civic type r (EP3) in championship white. My budget is around 10,000, I dont know if should get a fresh import or if I should buy one that is already in this country. I obviously want the best value for my money but I dont want to get ripped off as I really know nothing about importing etc i just know what car I want and I want is now hee hee! can anyone please give me some advice.

I think with that budget, it's worth importing as the higher the value of the car, the more saving you gain. Of course, it'll be a lot to let others import it for you for a few quid...

Thanks very much for your input, i will look at the web link you supplied, i appreciate any advise given as i really have no idea what to do but i really want thihs car, i cant see passed it likes hee hee, i am sooo excited!
