Japanese car imports

Hello All,

I am finally getting close to being able to afford my dream car. A Nissan Stagea

I am due to get promoted at work and SWMBO has agreed that I as my treat I can replace my nasty daily drive. We have a modded Volvo Wentworth Turbo which is her daily drive.

I would really like a AUTECH one, but I might have to settle for an RS FOUR V Turbo due to budget restraints.

So here goes with the questions:

1) Emmissions - I cannot find anything anywhere which gives the emmission figures for Stagea's, am I better off getting the RB25DET or a VQ25DET base one. I here the VQ engines are better on emmissions.

2) Does anybody know which models of Stagea's have Model Reports?

3) Anybody know how much a model report costs?

4) What VED catagory does the RB25DET and VQ25DET fall into?

5) Insurance - I have been advised a CAT1 alarm and a Tracker are required - Ture or False?

There is no model report for it so you can import only vehicle 10 years or older.

Unless you are importing into Ireland....
