It all depends what you like, with 8k you should be able to get a very nice motor. if your looking for somthing quick but not over the top sporty you could get a nice Mazda rx8, maybe an older Nissan 350 fairlady or a Honda s2000 which are all quick enough and very nice on the eye.
If you're looking for something really quick you could have a look at a Mazda RX7, Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, Mit Lancer EVO, Subaru Impreza.
A nice version of one of the above would be my choice, but like I said it all depends on what you like.
If you get Tez to e-mail you the auction site details you can browse at your own speed. Remeber though, for that kind of money you don't want to buy anything rated under a 4 and should probably edge more towards 4.5 - 5
Hope this helps, Iddo |

Buy the way, if it's only a choice between the Celica automatic or the Type r you want to go for I'd go for the Type R.
Enjoy |

| Thanks for the advice. Do u guys think that £8000 wil get me a type r into the uk and road legal? and another point is it worth trying to import the new type r into the uk from japan? its £19000 for a uk version, would sourcing one from japan be cheaper? |

Do you mean the integra type R or civic type R.
The integra type R requires a £10,000 budget for a good one with around 25,000 miles landed into the UK. Then allow £1000 for the SVA, MOT and registration.
The Civic type R doesn't represent much saving unless you are importing the EK9 version. |

| sorry, i meant civic type r. i like the look of a white version, i have seen a couple in the uk already and think its the best colour for the car. i had a black version for about 4 years before my accident! would £8000 get me a landed civic type r lowish mileage? if not then its gonna be the celica. cheers. |
