How can I find out the exact engine size / type on a LR Discovery from Japan?
In the Uk the 4 ltr model was only available from about 2000 but most discoverys in japan of all ages are declared as 4000cc petrol (or 2.5 TDi)
The reason I ask is I would like to convert an import to LPG but there is a huge price difference between the kit for the classic Rover v8 3.9 and the BMW based 4ltr v8. So what type of V8 engine would be in a 1996/7 model? |

If they are declared as 4000C.C on the auction sheet then it should be accurate. There is never any error on the sheets, if there is, the auction liable.
To be sure however the best people to contact would be Landrover regarding exact size.
Would be best to contact the UK office and if you can not get an answer from them then email their Japan office. |
