I'm not certain but from reading the options I would say that you need to tick the R(ESVA) option as that looks like the only one that would apply. If the car is less than 10 years old then it would need an E-SVA test done on it to ensure that it complies with the regulations over here. You may also need to hire a Model Report for it to be compared against as it must be EXACTLY the same as the vehicle in the report. Glanma could probably tell you as I know his Estima had to have the E_SVA test and he had to remove the side skirts and I think the exhaust to conform with the car in the report. Once it has passed the test you can put back any mods that were taken off to comply with the test.

Hope this helps a little.

Class R is the one you need assuming your car was manufactured pre 01/1/1997 , and when you go on to Q20 on the form, the first box applies to you (mine was the 3rd box which is where the model report comes into it to cover noise, emmissions etc.). Obviously if you are buying a post 01/1/1997 car you will need one of the other boxes. How old and what car are you buying?

Do you mean the same shape as mine (the one on my avatar) or the VERY new shape which was only introduced in JApan earlier this year? If it is the latter, then no there won't be any model reports out yet. If its the former, they are available now for most models including the 3.0 V6 (I wouldn't mind one of those!) Whichever it is though, you would need an ESVA test and hence a model report.
