Hi rotary81,
Sorry for the late reply but I'm in the middle of the north sea at the moment Listen mate I was just the same as you I looked at this site for about a year then one day I just jumped in and said bugger it and about 2 weeks ago the car arrived at my front door and I am over the moon with it everything went great and Advan kept me informed of what was going on all the time I would not think twice about getting another car from them :D the only thing I was pissed about (and it was my fault) was now I have the car (LEGNUM VR4 2.5 TT 4X4) to get in a SVA test I would have to change a few thing's and that's going to cost to much but thats because I never checked properly, so now Im going to have to wait about 7/8months so I can just get it MOT'd but never mind I will know better next time I'm abit iffy about powerful rear week drive cars but I do love the look of a well modded RX7 and I have seen some nice ones on here, any how if I can do it I'll show you what I got if I not I''ll tell you where to lok on this site to see it OK, and may be even show you it when I'm home some time
Cheers Hammer [/img] |

Hi there,
yeh sounds like a plan. Yeh iv been looking to import for a while now. My last two motors have been imports, though not imported by myself. To be honest, when buying a used car i dont think il ever go back to uk models. You really cant beat an import for overall spec and condition. Iv a J reg MR2 turbo and it still amazes me at how good condition it is in. Still has original brake pipes with barely any corrosion for gods sake! Im still a bit wary of taking the plunge and importing myself, but will prob do it shortly. Theres a local importer who has offered to import any car i want for ?300 but after a conversation we had the other day he kind of put the frighteners on the whole thing again. What if its not what your expecting? what if it doesnt drive right, what if the engines f**ked etc etc. Pretty offputting
Its a lot of luck involved i suppose, something i tend not to have a lot of! So what exactly is a legnum?? is it a galant or something similar? |

rotary81,
a legnum is really a gallant estate 2.5 ltr twine turbo 4wheel drive with AYC and traction control (same setup as the EVO) if you want we can meet sometime and you can have a look at it and see what you think and how much it cost? its a 1996 with 36000mls and about 300+bhp, Im home from aberdeen on friday so I'll send you a pm and give ya me number ok.
I'm going off for a while now to see if I can get on the other computer coss I had a nice pic of a RX7 for you.

hi,
yeh sounds good. sounds like a nice motor. Didnt realise they did a twin turbo. Is that the import only? Thats a serious estate car! :D whats the ayc, a version of yaw control? spotted a nice rx at a nearby garage, dont know if youve heard of lawson industrial estate in boro. Hes had it a while now, up for 6995 on a J92!!!! well out of my price league but it is immaculate. Barely used everything looks brand new. Just the kind of example im looking for. Just hope if i take the plunge and import it turns out to be something in similar condition
cheers

nice motor that mate. Real clean looking. Like the colour and the white alooys set it off. Im impressed. How much does it stand you at? how much was the fob price of it? Nice pic of rx by the way, cheers. So what grade was your car, did you pay to have your auction sheet translated?
cheers

Rotary81, Yes mate I know were it is I had a look around thier a few weeks ago and if its the same one the RX7 looks really nice :D he has had a few nice motors in of late, As for the price it was well below what I expected to pay If you register (it dont cost owt) then I'll drop you a Personal Message or you can click on pm and drop me one with your E-mail or mobile and I'll give you the genwhere how and when about the motor Ok.
oh yes and the motor was a grade 4 and I was abit silly I looked at the motor and just went for it then I got the translation about a week later but I was lucky and it turned out ok, but if I go for another one I'll get the translation first, I used to like the old Advanparteners site where you had five or six pic's and the price you on it was what you paid you didn't have to bid but the new one you only get a few pic's and you have to ask for the price a step backwards I thinks but never mind drop me a line.

Well done the 'Boro and good luck in the next round - shame my lot didn't do the biz too though. Ah well, there's always next year!
What's the score on the Legnum now then Hammer? Is it in hibernation now awaiting the right day, or does it come out for a bit of fresh air now and again?!! |

Glanma,
Sorry about that mate it was only after the match that I new your lot had lost but never mind you can now go all out for promotion with out any distractions :) I was at the match last night and yes we won but it was not nice to watch and I fear for use on saturday if we play like that against the blues could be another 7
As for the Legnum yes I am chuffed to bits with it it looks better that on the pic's they sent :D and it sounds the biz , only had 1 quick drive the nite it came and I only got it in the garage yesterday after a lot of cleaning out but it fits ok now I'm going to ring that guy today how did the car for that bloke for 475 and have a word with him and see what he has to say and depending on the outcome of that will depend on where I go from their in the next few days I'll take a few pic's of the car and post then. have to go now I'm setting up some remote camara's 1 for inside the garage and 1 for the driveway to try and get the insurance down .
Oh yes some thing I meant to ask about every notification I get from Advan has this HACKED on it and I cannot click the lick whats happened their then and how do I stop it if the notification is coming from Advan why has it go this hacked thing on it any ideas.

Hey Hammer, I have been having the same problem as you logging on. The best way I have found is to log on to the forum, then when I get the page not found, close that then open the forum again from the home page. That seems to work for me.
Cheers

Yeah let us know what that guy says - it could be interesting for a few people if it's kosher. And if it helps you let loose the Legnum sooner rather than later that would be great!
I heard the Boro weren't particularly enthralling to watch last night but if they get a good run in the cup it might boost confidence and turn things round a bit. Maybe. :D
It was some pr**t in Turkey that hacked into the Advan site here and left his mark, what a waste of space these people are. What the hell do they get out of it - it's not as if this site is going to give them a big thrill or open up bank accounts or something! You should still be able to get on here through the link though, when my e-mail notifications of a reply post come through I still click on the link to get on it and see what's been added. |
