Japanese car imports

Hi all,been studing this site for a little while now im currently thinking of importing an evo 6,Now i had a look at the auction site and seen an evo for 780000 yen,now i have done all the calculations i.e duty,vat,shipping etc and come up with a price in the region of ?7500.Im wondering if one of you kind people who have done this before could tell me if this sounds like it is in the correct region.Complete novice to this but read romeo's thread and it did give me a bit confidence.

Hi Craig,

If 7500 GBP is your budget then you should have no problems.

Drop us an email we will go through the costs with you step by step.

6700 - 7000 GBP would be a realistic on the road price.

did not think it was possible to get an evo 6 registered is there a model report available or a way around this?? sounds very cheap!
have read a couple of posts where people are considering buying post 1996 stuff is it possible to get something registered without a model reports or paying for the noise and emissions tests? Confused

yes it is, details are as follows. Reports can be obtained for most Evo versions.

Also when you import we can get you a good price on the model report.

thanks for the information did not realise there were reports out there for the early evos i am asuming the cars will have to be in standard form then unless somebody can provide a service ie loan u the standard parts and get it through a ESVA can u provide this kind of service?
dont suppose you colud get a model report for a subaru impreza type R 2 door coupe?

If its the Manual WRX Sti Version 7 RA Petrol you are after then yes, it is possible.

We do provide the service for SVA, please contact our sales for a quote sales@japaneseauctions.co.uk

550 GBP for a 350Z, the cost will be about the same for an impreza.

Hey Tez if your looking,I'm very intrested in importing en evo 6,now you reckon that a budget of ?7k should be enough to bring one over to this country and get it on the road,this works out a good bit cheaper than buying one that is already here.If i do see one that i fancy how do i go about putting a bid on the car.Any advice would be great.Cheers
