Is there any way of getting round the number plate slots. For example on the 350z the rear number plate slot is square which wouldn't allow for a uk style number plate?

most people go for a japanese size
its not strictly legal - but it isn't a huge crime either
its about 13x6.5/7 inches
(33x16.5 cm)

and you can have them made at show plate manufacturers

http://www.craigsplates.co.uk/size_detail.php?page=sywa

these make really nice ones - but can take 10 days Confused
which is a long time between being issued your number and driving your car Rolling Eyes

and these do next day bog standard

I think it def depends on vehicle.

E.g on the Evo's and Rx-7's the Japanese size plates look much better.

Comes down to personal taste.
