I have recently bought a Honda Prelude but i am not convinced that it is an import, i have checked my service book to see where the first service was done and it was in england but the person who i bought the car from say's that it is an import. Is there a way of finding out for sure that it is an import?

One of the first signs would be the smaller square plate on the rear! but in some cases imports can have the larger plate also, if thats the case I would then look to see if it has a factory fitted rear fog and fog light switch, does your car read in MPH and also show KM? Does the ODOMETER show the same Top speed as a uk car? Check for signs of JDM stickers/decals where in the UK they should read in english. You could also put write a letter to the DVLA to find out the info also.
If its a UK car your V5 should state NEW AT FIRST REGISTRARTON IN UK or something along those lines.
