| Hello, I wonder if anyone here could give me some help on a few matters regarding starting my own vehicle import business, importing vehicles from Japan? I know you have to pay 27.5% tax on each unit "unit cost plus shipping" at the docks before you can pick up your vehicles from customs. How does this work when selling a vehicle on in the UK as second hand to joe blogs public regarding VAT etc? And would I be better off registering for VAT even before I have reached the 57K threshold? Thanks and any advise on these matters would be of great help to me! Cheers, Carboy |
