Has anyone had any experience or joy in converting TV Sat Nav (either original manufacturer or after market) that sometimes comes fitted on Jap imports to work in UK
From what I can make out all that seems to work will be the CD player!!
SAT NAV will not read discs for UK? and TV is NSTC not PAL and does not pick up UK signal bandwidth, radio will work with bandwidth expander but reception is poor. If you get a multiregion DVD portable you can play movies through the TV..but that means buying more kit
Have seen advice (frequently) that binning it and starting again with UK spec system is the only way. Surely in this techno age there must be a way round all this??
Thoughts and experience please? |

SAT nav- can sometimes work if you can get hold of the UK disk.
TV - there are NSTC to pal converters and uk tuners you can purchase to hook up. |
