Hi, thanks for looking, I am a noob at the import game and I am starting to look for my dream car.. either a Skyline R32/33/34 or a Silvia s13/s14/s15

My question is this.. I have read through this forum and I notice a couple of members.. Midnight etc have had extensive damage to there vehicles upon arrival. Is this commonplace? I really want to use this service and intend to be spending around £9000 but only for the right vehicle, and I dont want any damage when the car arrives this side..

Is it a case of this been a gamble you take or is it rare for people to have there car's damaged durin transit..

Also what is the best route to take in people's experience.. Am I better to go down the route of buying via auction or direct from Advan on the stock page.. I want to minimise complications..

Like I say, my main concern is that I fork out a shed load of money.. and end up with a shed!

Hope you guys can help me and help get the ball rolling for me.

Regards,

Elliott

My experience is this, was looking for a integra type r for some time and looked at a few for sale, only looking to spend around £5000 I was struggling to find a good example, I had seen this 1996 teg on the stock page of autoadvan it had been there for sometime and thought it was a bit strange nobody had bought it yet, the pictures of the car look good it had a good description, was low mileage had lots of nice parts fitted and was just over £4000, although it had no history autoadvan say they check all cars are before sale, this still to me was a bit of a gamble buying a car on the Internet but I put my trust in autoadvan and bought it. Although shipping took longer than I thought the wait was defiantly worth it, the car was in much better condition than I thought all it needed was a good clean. Once clean the paintwork was in very good condition, tyres like new, engine perfect drives perfect, everything just perfect, just clad everything worked out fine.
