Well I have just won my 1st EVER car auction as a private individual using www.japeneseauctions.co.uk

Those of you who are still wondering about sending a deposit and bidding, let me be your GUINEA PIG. (Dont worry I have good solicitors if it goes tits up!!).

I am going to take this oppertunity to DETAIL every step from winning to collecting my car from Southampton Port (my choice of landing).

Here goes :-

I looked at a FTO yesterday (27th May) with 112,000 KM, but it does have a custom paint job on a 95 plate with the usual extras.

Tony phoned me on the 27th, and took my max bid ?1,050 (210,000 Yen) and forwarded it to the relavent parties. Then low and behold I got a phone call from Tony (28th May) to say the bidding went over but they kept me in the loop, and i got it for ?1.100 (220,000 YEN) - well u can imagine my excitement !!.

The office is going to phone me on Tuesday (31st May) to arragne the TT (Telegraph Transfer), and so forth.

You can expect my update on this thread then. If u wanna ask me a question then go for it. Just reply to this forum message........

Best Wishes

B

is it DE3A-HNHM or DE3A-HNGH?

Also do you know when it was registered?
you say it is a 95 'N',
by the time you get it it will be late july at the earliest - so it will be fast approaching its 10th birthday,
it will make things easier for you if it is 10.

wheels and kit look cool Wink

Yup, once car hits 10 years you won't need a SVA test =)

Simple MOT and registration and you are good to go.

It is a very sweet little car.

Once we pick it up we will take more photos for you before it is shipped.

Expect them in the next few days Wink

Hi msdunn !

Not sure if its a DE3A-HNHM or DE3A-HNGH whats the difference ?. If you can tell me then I can check out the translation and see if anyting matches. Shocked

Looks like the car is a 95/02 if I am reading the translation correctly ( I could be wrong). Wink

Looking forward too seeing more pics of the kit, and perhaps Terrence could shed some light if its a DE3A-HNHM or DE3A-HNGH.

Cheers

few things from the auction sheet.

The picture shows its an manual, whereas the auction report says its an AUTO

Not too sure what the '4wd' on the report denotes?

Did they make a 4wd FTO?

Look forward to seeing the new pics :)

Looks like the GPX model.

I have just recieved a confirmation e-mail from the office on how to pay the funds. So here are the bits I think you will be intersted in (I have edited the original e-mail to a degree for privacy) :-

"#" - Not Sold
"##" - Not Sold (Highest Bid)

What is the extra tran fees ? , i thought the FOB would get it on the ship in japan then you pay the shipping company in the UK.
